A Vehicle Bill of Sale is used to record a sale in Louisiana. However, to register the vehicle the seller must deliver the certificate of title. The buyer does not get marketable title until a new certificate of title is issued.

- Assigned Certificate of Title
- Original notarized Bill of Sale or invoice, if required
- Odometer disclosure, if required
- Proof of liability insurance
- Valid photo ID
