Nebraska Bill of Sale Forms

In Nebraska, a Bill of Sale is used to record the legal transfer of ownership of high-value items. It’s typically used when selling:

  • Vehicles
  • Boats
  • Firearms

This legal document outlines the terms agreed upon by both parties, and is a written record of the sale. It can help to prevent future ownership disputes that may arise after the fact.

Your BOS should include key details like the buyer and seller’s names, item description, sale price, and date of sale.

You may need a Bill of Sale to register vehicles and boats with the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). It may also serve as proof of ownership in other legal situations.
